A Day in the Nichols Home: Good thing I started a blog because......WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!

Lets start from the beginning of this process......As I told you in the first blog, Moe got a new job (YAY!!!), which then solidified that we were going to stay in Conway (YAY!!!!!), which meant that we could "start looking" for a house. We have been watching HGTV and doing our internet research and house looking for a few months......but still did not expect this process to go so fast and so smoothly!!

Friday (October 21st) We went and looked at "The House" and about 10 others......but no other house compared to "the House." This home was in our favorite neighborhood in Conway (Westin Park), in the area of Conway we wanted to live, Side entry garage (big on our list), 3 bed room and 2 bath, 1600+ square feet, large fully fenced in yard for Penny, open concept, large master bedroom and bath, large closets.....and so much more! Basically this was our dream home in the dream location.....and the house had only been on the market 3 days!!!!! Our realtor (Michelle & Elizabeth Parsley) were wonderful, not pushy, but basically said "If you want this house.....you are going to have to act....and fast, it will sell fast, this is a GREAT home." With that said, Moe and went home to talk about this all, call our landlord and see if we could get out of our lease, and pray about this huge decision......I mean afterall, we had really just gone out that day to "look at houses, see what was out there!!!!"

Saturday: After a restless & sleepless night, lots of talking, lots of praying, and finally hearing from our landlord with good news about our lease......we put in an offer on the house at 7pm!!! In our offer we asked for closing cost paid and all the appliances (washer, dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, stove/oven, and microwave) to stay, and a few other things. And now we wait..........and wait......and wait.......

Sunday: Still waiting.....and waiting......and finally at 4:45pm I get the call from our realtor and she asks me if I am sitting down.......becuase "YOU JUST BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!!" We were SOOOO BLESSED because they did not counteroffer us.....they took our entire offer. We feel so blessed to be moving into our new home with all the appliances there so that now we can focus on making the home look like ours! We will be closing on our house November 22 (prayers on that day they everything go as planned) and will be moving in starting on November 26th at noon!!! We have to be out of our current house by November 30th!!! We could not be more excited about this next month ahead-- packing, planning decorating ideas, and dreaming of living in OUR home!! We already know one of our first purchases for the new house will be A COUCH......thank you Penny! Haha!!
